FAQs

What usually causes my pain?

That’s a good question. Pain and discomfort are warning signs sent from your body to warn you that something is wrong. The first thing we need to do is perform a thorough history and exam to find out exactly what is causing your symptoms.

Neck pain, back pain and headaches are common symptoms, often caused by minor misalignments in the spine. These subtle misalignments, called joint restrictions, can cause a cycle of discomfort, starting with limited movement, muscle tightness & fatigue, progressing to pain, inflammation and eventually arthritic degeneration. Sometimes these joint restrictions are caused by an accident or injury but often times, the cause is not obvious.

How will you help me?

The good news is that chiropractic care is a proven, safe & effective option for many causes of pain. After your consultation & exam, if we determine that chiropractic care is the best option for you, we will develop a customized treatment solution, based on your specific condition. Your treatment may include a gentle spinal adjustment to restore motion and relieve the pain caused by a joint restriction. Our chiropractors are highly trained to find & fix joint restrictions as well as the many other potential causes for your pain.

In addition to spinal adjustments, we offer:

  • Physical therapy & modalities like heat and electrical stimulation
  • Various soft tissue techniques including trigger point therapies, massage, Active Release Technique and other soft tissue therapies
  • Spinal decompression
  • Lifestyle advice on lifting, posture, diet & exercise
  • Custom stretching & exercise programs to prevent recurrence of your problem

How long will I need to be treated?

One of the myths you’ve probably heard about chiropractors is that once you start, you need to come back forever- & we want to tell you that’s not true at Allied Physicians and Rehab. While we help many patients who choose to stop in periodically for an adjustment because of how good it makes them feel, our goal is to fix you as quickly as possible and give you the tools & knowledge to keep feeling good on your own.

How much will treatment cost?
